If your invoice and shipping address are in the States and ordering from anywhere in the EU you don't have to pay VAT as it's an export (there maybe some duty though).

If you are in the UK and are VAT registered and are ordering from a VAT registered supplier from somewhere else in Europe, say France or Germany for example, you simply give you supplier your VAT no. and he should invoice you for your goods and not charge you any VAT. All you have to do is remember to put the value of the goods you have bought down on your quarterly VAT return, as the supplier has to declare the sale on a form at their end. It's a bit of a fudge really by the EU to get round the fact that different countries charge different VAT rates.

all the best

That's right.

Orders from overseas are not subject to VAT, anything I bought while actually IN the country was charged VAT, but I could get a refund at the airport on the way out, fill in a load of forms show my receipts them wait two months...

Least you think that is a huge advantage, anything coming IN to Bermuda is charged duty, anywhere from 22.25% to 33.33%, (none of our stuff falls under the 0% 0r 10% tarriff) then you add the shipping costs, and it all evens out in the end, somebody's Government gets their cut!

I don't know if this is where this is supposed to be posted, but owell. I'm getting ready to order some gear from a place in the UK called Honey Brothers and I was wondering how good customer service is, how reliable are they, etc. If, of course, anyone on here has bought something from them. I plan on buying a Tree Motion from them, and I'm just trying to make sure there a good company before I go and drop $400+ for a saddle that will be shipped across an ocean!! Thanks for any help!!

Also, here's their site

See if you can find out what the Customs charges will be, and let us know.

Several of us are interested in the TM, but don't much like the $570 pricetag...
