Great post B101, good to find all this out before i buy the kit.

The manufactures spec recommends the power of the tractor to be 70< hp to hang it on.

 

The total weight of the winch is 562kg without the wire

Difflock that's a good shout about line speed on the EH models ihad not noticed that.

 

Have you got the radio control unit ?

 

Brushcutter why would you choose the extra wide butt plate out of intrest?

We generally cut 4.1 -4.5m saw logs in larch so the bigger but plate make them bit easier to roll and flip up onto the stack. With the current Fransgard its a pain to get more than 2 butts skidded or 3-4 poles. With the bigger one i expect i can get 4-5 poles on at least and 3 butts. Saving a bit of time for not a lot extra cost.

 

So of the hardwoods i've skidded have been massive and the butt end and the bigger butt plate would have really helped.
