Cool. I'll look forward to that. The exuviae (I've been swatting) look so prehistoric.

These are the little beasties that I'm out surveying for at the moment. The pics aren't the best, unfortunately. They don't look like they could put you in hospital, do they?!

The stag just happened to be at the side of the path.

Fab pictures again :thumbup:

I'm starting to get into the onatas (damsel and dragonflies) and I reckon that's an immature male large red damselfly.

(That's what my book says, anyway :blushing:)

Definitely Damselfly Janey. They fold their wings whereas Dragonflies rest with them open. A good ID tip that is.....:thumbup1:

Here is one that emerged this morning,next to its exuvia;

Bear with me, I still haven't got the hang of multi quoting...

That is one seriously cool pic :thumbup1:

I'm glad you said previously that it was on a lily leaf or I would've had problems trying to desipher what it was.

Hope you didn't mind me knicking the exuviae word from your post Janey,even if I did manage to get the spelling wrong!:001_smile:

We can look proper clevva together :lol:

Single = exuvia

Plural = exuviae

A couple of great words that I challenge you to drop into conversation with normal people at some point.
