Tachyon all the way! perfect balance of every thing and super light. Blue tongue is also very good or Poison ivy over there i think its called, think there is some other names for it too.

Climbing on POLYPROP?????????? ( my old man did this about 15 years ago )

 

as for the free climbing bit don't you think you should consider going on a climbing refresher course just to see what new gear and systems there are, its much safer and easier with the new systems these days you could well benifit from a course alot.

What is involved in climbing courses and what sort of price would one be looking at? , would i need to take my own climbing kit, i have climbed this way for years , i was given an old harness from a BT engineer about 10 years ago!

are you NPTC certified, are you self employed or employed, i think you need to do some research mate, and have a look at a whole new climbing kit. other than just a rope.

Hi Majestic ,the harness is an old williams blue with some, what looks like yellow padding on the back with 2 rings one either side, rubs my hips a little after a long climb. Self employed for years, NPTC Certified???

sound like the old willians t22 or something, not to familiar with these harnesses,

if i were you mate i would have a nip down to the arb show at the weekend its only an hour and a half from you mate in gloucestershire, have a look around there will be a few demos and loads of arb equipment stands. i've put a link here for the NPTC have a read mate.

also have a look at a few of the sites sponsors to your right of every page there are equipment and climbing suppliers and training and insurance,

 

how long you been climbing the way you do mate.

Hi Majestic cheers for your advice and links i will have a look at this tinterweb for the arb show details , i have been climbing altogether now for 14 years! quite a while now! do yoe have Quals?
