Registration certificate (v5)....tippers

In the vehicle details bit of your v5 (log book) does it say body type.. tipper or does it say pick-up?

It will say whatever you want it to.

 

If you have a dropsied flat and change it to a tipper just fill in the changes section and send it back to DVLA

Thanks for the info, i was just wandering why mine says pick-up not tipper/tipping body as far as i know my truck was born a tipper so not like it was converted to a tipper and never been changed on the log book.

Well whatever it is declared as on the V5 will be whatever the manufacturer registered it as (assuming the V5 hasn’t been changed since)

 

It’s not that important, a tipper is a flat of sorts.

 

Just make sure the insurers have it as a tipper, those loss adjusters can just wriggle you know.

Just checked the insurance and that says pick-up too.
