prices are around £2000 for one with its own engine, looks good as you can work the cork screw and the saw at the same time so 2 can work it if needed. was think off getting an eagle and a cheap tractor/loader with forks to hump the dumpy bags about and ease loading the transit, go from handling the wood 5 or 6 times to twice. save the elbows! hopefully get a go on one at aa fair. cheers

 

I run a McConnell saw bench and Browns log splitter off one tractor, at the same time. Works a real treat. We cut big lumps with a chainsaw so they just fit in the splitter, the I split it into say 6 or 8 billets then my bro whips the lengths across the bench creating 3 good sized logs.

Dependign on where you sourced one, around £120 -£170 for a TCT one.

 

If circumstances were a little different, I'd be snappign Hullsmillfarm's hand off :thumbup1:

 

haha, i just rang fuelwood to get the price i quoted, i'm afraid i didn't even think to shop around as i wasn't looking for one for myself:blushing:
