What's my duty of care - legal AND moral?

Hi there,

This is our tree. We have informed tree officer and are awaiting them coming in to offer advice on whether to fully remove or heavily reduce. It is part of a lime avenue that runs right through the park. There is a replacement opposite, we were hoping that we might be able to manage a retreat on the decayed one rather than condem it. I imagine it will be a case of remove entirely.

I have emailed the original person back after they sent the park a message yesterday.

Kretzschmaria deusta on lime is a one way journey I'm afraid, but respect for the desire for an alternative solution:thumbup1:
