Anybody off here use that 16mm polysteel rope off the flea bay . Its mainly used for anchoring lines and the like as its rated at 5 tons . Ive checked over at tree world and some guys are using it for securing the flying capstan to the tree. Any feedback would be good cheers . Its for the old poplar takedown I mentioned a few months ago which is situated in a water flooded field :001_smile:

I've used polysteel for the last couple of years. It's good strong 3ply if you want to dismantle without the gagetry. drop it over a couple of strong high folks, wrap it round the trunk if you need extra friction and it will do the job.

That's all I used for years does the trick mate. Do you have a link? might get some. It's good for pulling stems over with van etc stuff you wouldn't wanna use your expensive ropes for:biggrin:

Sorry Lorry no link . Although one of the ebay sellers is listed as tyne and wear :001_smile: 16mm x 50m long is £ 47 Breaking strain of 5.45 ton sounds ok .

would you go for a fatter one :001_tongue:
