I have one of those metal cam retrievers, they are loads better than the plastic ball type.

 

Don't think anyone sells them anymore. :thumbdown:

 

 

Jammy, just get a new rope, if a knots not to your liking.

 

Relegate the marlow to connifer jobs and sectioning fir trees and the like.

or just melt a small hole at the end and attach retrieval ball through that. or whip a small eye on and attach via that. Dont whip an eye that looks strong enough to climb on though-i did and accidently clipped into-amazing how strong whipping twine is!

Fujikura used to sell them so maybe sorbus do now, but I got one years ago from fuji

 

You will do well to find that type of retrever now days I was told due to the cost of ally noone makes them anymore but if you do let me know as they are the best retrever

My friend actually produces retrievers like the cam retrieve.

Unfortunately, being i Denmark, I think shipping costs would be prohibitively high. Unless someone can convince one of the site sponsors to get a batch...
