Well, a trailer should be slightly nose heavy.

 

Most tow bars are only rated to between 50 and 100 kgs over here though, so it is a fairly narrow margin.

 

I'm sure you have different rules over there though.

Mate, don't reckon our H&S is anything like yours. Up until recently it was a case of "she'll be right". We have ditched the towball on the chipper in favour of a pintle hitch. I had to many of the balls fracture at the last place I worked due to jack knifing and the constant vibration and braking. It's difficult to see when a towball fractures and it doesn't take long for the whole thing to snap clean off.
