How many good climbers or subbies are available at a few days notice though??

You'll need to contact me at least three weeks in advance if you want me on a job, or any of my kit, and alot of other guys will be in the same boat.

It's a great idea, but would need some refinement IMO or you'll just end up with guys with little experience or happen across guys between or looking for jobs.

Don't get me wrong, this is no bad thing - but if you are looking for freelancers they will need notice, and the better they are the more notice they will need.

However, I would love to see a forum for guys looking for work - a simple name, age, location, brief experience and maybe a photo or two - employers could hen look through the listings and contact guys they think would fit the bill - if a job position is filled through this listing the employer pays a finders fee to Arbtalk of £50 after an initial one month trial or something like that.

If every time I needed to start a new guy, I could come on to Arbtalk and do that, I would happily give £50 having got in touch with a good bloke and filled the position.

If you want work and good money you have to stand out from the others, being on a list is for guys who want the world to come to them imo.

get a phone, sit it on a rock and make a film, stick it on utube then on here, do something diferent, show initiative and your work will speak for itself.

Actually thats a really sound suggestion Stevie:thumbup: anything that would make you as a prospective employee stand out above your competition has to help. Being on a list is merely the first step, where you take it is up to you!
