Somewhat unusual for NZ to get one of these and nothing compared to those in the States. Unfortunately one person dead.

unbelievable! I couldn't believe it when I herd this avo.. Hope every one ok, good for the guys up there bit of storm damage to clean up

Thought it was a bit of a joke meself until I did a bit of web searching. Couple of cars flipped over and their roofs caved in, the roof ripped right off pack and scab and place makers, a whole heap of trees toppled onto cars. It was actually worse than I thought.

yeah was pretty bad really, lucky there wasn't more fatalities

just got in from the clean up-some places its total carnage, others places not a leave moved. some big trees came over though totalling some cars. lots of cleanup for companies tomorrow-we were just making safe til sunrise tomorrow
