Have I missed a sudden change in arb practices..?

A local council has asked me to quote to pollard to 6m- 5 mature ash trees (18m - 20m), 4 similar sized horse chestnuts, 6 slightly smaller limes and 25% reductions on several large horse chestnuts.

Maybe the council have gotten all caught up in the kinda health and safety to the public thing at the moment. With a few trees going over recently and sadly people gettin injured or sadly killed there wanting to take the "sail" out of said trees???

Just an idea

If they are getting the trees pollarded/topped/crown reduced how is there an assurance that they will continue with the required care that they are initiating?

These practices aren't a once-and-done operation.
