Isuzu truck, 7.5t'er! Are they any use these chippers? Pretty heavy i guess for towing with a smaller truck or pick up

 

everything has a use dependant on what you are paying. how old is the machine??? ususally you see these machines going for about the 3k mark

He says its 04, and it's clean enough and regular service history with it. Had a look at the one on ebay there, bit steep i think, seen as its had a good bit of use and needs work

Be aware that if you drive a 7.5 ton truck with a C1+E licence and your trailer or chipper is 1 ton you may be breaking the law if you have a 107 restriction. With this restriction you can only tow a MAM weight of 8250kg.

Hiya. We had a 328t on the back of our lorry. My opinion:

 

Very heavy to tow

It used to get wood trapped between the roller and side plate, making the roller stick up so there was an inch or two between the rollers. A real arse when chipping.

Left a mess underneath the chipper when you are finished chipping.

The chute is very tall

 

I towed it for 35 000 mile with isuzu

 

God, I miss that chipper!
