Shall take an slr with a better zoom as compact was on limit of zoom. Although i am out there this saturday. i shall see if i can knock some out whilst on stop on the track.

 

good stuff matt, will be an important record of meripilus worth having in the meripilus thread if it is.

The two fungi i saw today. And one i'm not sure about. Loads of it along a flint and lime mortar wall covered in about 2 inches of moss.

 

1-6 - Hypholoma fasciculare

7-10 - Coriolus versicolor

11-13 - Unknown fungi/species growing on moss

Was taken after a very hard frost over night.

 

Matt,

Flammulina velutipes is a winter species with trehalose (anti-freeze) in its FB's to withstand frost. And frost doesn't change the colour of the spores.
