There is a dealer local to me that has the GTM Professional GTS 1300 drum chipper ( 85mm - 3" capacity) which has a 13hp Honda engine.

I've read the Greenmech CS 100 vs Jo Beau 300 and 500 debate (well not quite all 67 pages!) but before I go out and demo it has anyone actually owned or demo'd one and if so what do you think of the GTS 1300?

I have! But my opinion would be biased:sneaky2: or not believed!

In many respects they GM and the JB do not compare with the GTM, different price, specification, build quality, support and performance all spring to mind. In fact, they do not compare!

iv got one. its ok id say. a good bit cheaper than the jo-baeu or greenmech.

the reason i got it was more because it has a honda engine (i like hondas :001_smile:) and it was half the price of the jo-baeu.

Thanks David, yes part of the attraction is the Honda engine, When you say "ok" could you expand a little please?

ye its ok id say, as in you push branches in 1 end and it shoots out the other lol

im certinly happy with it. i paid around £2600 inc vat for an ex demo one. i think from memory thats a good bit cheaper than the rest and it had the better engine in my opinion.

originally i was wairy of buy such a small chipper but they do let you work really efficiently.

ideally youd have a bigger engine and maybe the 18hp green mech would be better and save you having to feed in big bits slowly. (this causes a lot of vibrations to your fingers)

whatever machine you get you need to keep the blades sharp.
