Working over public highway

Exactly, the "law" will step in after there is an accident. No one is gettign arrested for stopping traffic by hand! I only stop the traffic as a precaution. If I was actaully dropping stuff onto a live carriageway then I would need sacking and go and work in tesco as a trolley boy!

There is nothing wrong with assessing a situation and making an informed choice of work method and then beign prepared to change that method if required.

If you read my thread I stated "when working on the highway"...that's it.....working ON the highway, then as per NRASWA..... we all know if you are helping to reverse or emergency traffic control (for whatever reason) then there will be a difference of what can and can not be.
