I am but a simple tree-cutter, I plant woodlands for the future so that other simple tree-cutters can go and fell them. That is my livelihood, and I enjoy this livelihood. In my breaks I watch the wildlife around me, undisturbed by the sound of my saw. Deer will graze just down the ride, butterflies flutter past and the wee mini-beasts crawl around in the undergrowth, unaffected by my presence (well maybe a little bit) but they will carry on with their little lives. Mankind has very little lasting effect on this planet, and it will all be there long after we are dust.
