Why don't you get a split tail, put the pulley in the spliced eye and make the prussic adjuster the stiffened bit?

 

It works really well, plus you can set the pulley long and the climbing line doesnt bind against the TIP.

I did that years ago and its still up a tree in Stroud! Not sure what went wrong but it was cold and dark so it staayed there! I will get it back one day! I think it was early 2008 so I might have to chuck the rope sections but could keep the pulley!
