belts bearings engine

nice little chippers them.... dont like wet conifer thou

take a few 3inch bits of hardwood say 3 foot long and whack them through.

quite hard to get a hold of 2nd hand too

im happy with mine as im just starting out , perfect for little jobs as i keep anything 4' and above for firewood -

 

thou maybe 1day if work picks up and i need to buy a tipper il go for a big chipper , but ££££££ when ur starting out isnt always what you have in ya pocket

i was looking for the same a few months ago but ended up with an entec 6 inch at a good price, glad of the extra capacity machine, i would say do keep an eye out for a slightly larger one in the ads you never know whatl turn up!

There's one going on ebay but I'm going to give it a miss as its up in Aberdeen. A bit too far to have a look before committing. I'll keep a look out for something like an entec or greenmech cs100

Your in my neck of the woods..... i found it very hard to get a chipper anywhere near us! i had to travel down to bristol to get mine..... i looked at gravity fed machines..... but i managed to get a vermeer 620i instead for reasonable money :) keep searching something will pop up

save your pennies guys till you have nearer £5k, i wish i spent more when i first started, i bought cheap and it was nothing but hassle,:thumbdown: it put me off tow behinds for 10 years.:blushing: I picked up a little Timberwolf(entec )6" off the forum last year for good money. It is an awesome little chipper. I dont use it very much now but when i need it its there and i can not fault it 1 bit:thumbup1:

yes, i am now of the opinion of this, once i've made some money this year and see how it goes, there will be a fresh chipper next year on the horizon hopefully ;)
