baffled by missing 280 part

I was recently given a 280 in peices ina a box, haveing rebuilt the saw and sorted the problem that led to it being in this state I am now at a loss for one (I think) missing part.

I have been over the PDF several times and am not sure what I am missing nor was the person I spoke to at the place I use for my parts.

I am sure the missing part is some kind of rubber mounting the place where it should be on my saw is on the underside of the saw about an inch behind the forwerd anti vibe as can I hope be seen in the picture.

Any ideas or anyone who has a 280/70 and can just have a look?

Thanks in advance.

Didn't think I'd explaned very well what I mean is, in the picture there is a pin to the right of the anti vibe that pokes in to a recess oppisite it and I'm sure there sould be a rubber mount or something like it there as when the saw is used it seems to have far to much flex to the point of the anti vibe pulling out of place.

I may just make something to fit and see if it feels right

Thanks for clearing that up for me guys.

I like the saw but am not keen on the sloppy AV's, might see if I can make some thing out of a soft rubber or solid foam type thing like they use for the forward AV on the 361 to stiffen it up abit, could deal with a few extra vibes for a saw that dosn't feel like it's folding in half when I use it.

I bough my 280 first then a 260, the 280 played up a bit so I tended to use the 260 more. I while ago I stripped down the 280 carb and blow out some dust, now it runs really well and picks up like fast. I fitted a 8T rim sproket agains the 7T as std, revs faster and tuned the chain to suit - now out performs the 260 at last. :thumbup1:
