the feed rollers have recently started struggling more than usual with awkward stuff, the feed rollers stop and a buzzing sound is coming from the hydraulics somewhere.

you can simply reverse and re feed and its ok, but not right.

Machine has done 300 odd hrs.

changed hydraulic oil and filter probably too long ago

Any ideas?

As Nige has said, there may be a misalignment of the mechanism and the positions of the spool valve which need to be be checked. A slight misalignment may mean that the rollers are not getting the full flow of oil thus making them appear weak and easy to halt.

Another thing to check is the hydraulic pressure. Assuming that the above is okay, check the pressure that the blow off valve is activated. If the spring has gone weak then it may be blowing off at a reduced pressure - thus the rollers stopping and the noise in the system as oil is squeezing past the blow off. I'm not sure of the pressure on a TS, but if it has dropped half of its original setting then the rollers will seem weak and effective and a simple adjustment may be all that is required to get it back to A1 again.
