Beware-inadequate air filters.

I know I've put out a thread on this subject before but the problem isn't sorted.

If you own a Husky 395XP do you find that fine dust gets through the filter and accumulates inside the pipe that leads to the carburettor?

I continually do with mine and have to wipe it out of the pipe with my finger after every half tank of fuel. Of course what concerns me is the amount of dust getting through the carb into the cylinder.

 

According to my dealer and Husky I'm already using the upgraded filter so I dread to think how useless the standard air filter must be.

I've also put a foam pre-filter on and this helps a bit but only a bit.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated as these are expensive saws.
