I have the dried specimens in front of me, they will be off to kew shortly and either way its a rare find it seems, and a new species for me.

Oh yeah baby, my work, my efforts all pa\y off eventualy, and there is soooo many things coming together for me at the moment.

 

As if by magic, Trametes trogii, as gerrit says it is indeed much lighter in colouration, oh happy days, i nearly wet myself, ask gollum!

No, this probably is the much darker brown Coriolopsis (Trametes) gallica with more yellowish pores.
