I have both. 660 with 36" is slower than the 395 XP.

Which ever you choose, get the 'upgrade' air filter as the standard ones are rubbish.

With a 28" bar the 660 cuts fast but the 395XP is like a hot knife.

The 395 chain brake lever will annoy you a bit because the design is flawed but at work I pick up the 395 every time.

Finally, is your local dealer stihl or husky? That may make your decision.

Ya he's a husky dealer really and has been for many years only recently started dealing in Stihl, the exchange rate on stihl gear in Ireland is a shocker when compared to husky gear dont know why, but its the reason im looking at husky alternatives.

thanks for the advice I think il go with the husky have to go over to the dark side sooner or later :001_tongue::001_smile:
