Stihl av 032

Just bought one of these second hand, works perfectly. However the fuel filler cap has a crack in it which in normal use isn't a problem but if it is laid on its side the fuel leaks out. I could probably repair the cap but would prefer a new cap, problem is that Stihl have stopped supplying them as the AV 032 is quite old now. I have tried a couple of garden machinery places online but they can't get them as it is to old now.

I do have a couple of places locally that do servicing on lawnmowers, chainsaws etc which I'll try next time I am in town.

But wondered if any of you chaps new of online places that I could try.

He has tried me but they have gone obsolete, I did even check our box of old goodies but no luck I'm afraid. Sorry I couldn't be of help if one comes in and we scrap it I'll let you know.:001_smile:

Thanks Jonsie, :thumbup1:

Someone suggested to me to put a "polythene disk" around the cap then screw it in, which seems not a bad idea, but does the filler cap not have a breather? :confused1:
