im after a small hiab crane something like 020 025 or similar atlas/ palfinger to fit on my ifor its towed buy a defender so that will cope with the weight

 

if you mount on the front of the trailer your nose weight could be to heavy

 

got my 2 ton lift hiab from the BAY about 8 years ago

I have been watching Hiabs on ebay for the last two months, there are loads of them of various sizes and conditions. The smaller ones seem to command stronger prices as people like you and i want to put them on smaller vehicles or trailers.
