If you have disced up a trunk its a great help picking it all up without bending down & getting hold of the pieces, just 'tock' it into the end grain & swing the piece up,the tool end comes out easy too as it curls like a hook, when your wood is wet & slippy (no funny comments please),you'd be impressed how easy it makes the job, also for dragging lengths too:001_smile:

I use mine mainly for handling 1st thinnings cord, stick it in the end and drag the pole to the pile, or hook into the length of the pole to lift it into position on the pile. To pick logs up without bending the back or legs so much, To tap in small wedges etc etc.

Wouldnt be without mine either! Use it like an extra long arm saves my back when picking up stuff, logs, rings etc.

Much prefer the stihl one (I have 3) tried the oregon one but its too light more like and Ice Pick.

Used a bale hook when I was younger maybe thats why I am so confident with it.
