They have range rovers and bentleys down here and still won't spend the money! i have a few bigs jobs but nothing to shout home about. Some that i have quoted have been sitting on them for a while.

 

The reason the have thous cars is because they don't spend their money on tree work

seems to be very busy for us still. 7 to 8 weeks work in the book and its still rolling in. Made less money than last year but thats cos everyone has had biggish pay rises this year. The trick is to enjoy the quiet times and take a break cos it always picks up.

It looks like you're all in the south, and work here and there which isn't too bad. In yorkshire everyone who has been doing it for some time is doing it, but newer firms who don't have the customer base don't look to be doing so well. I hope my gardening picks up this summer. I've trimmed and cut the odd tree, but I'm not set for it as a career yet.

Oh and range rovers don't mean anything money wise unless its the big inch v8/v12. You can pick a sparkelly new looking 8 year old one up for a few thousand, with a 3 ltr diesel six that sips fuel. Bentleys on the other hand are different.
