kolher engine problem

hi i have a 25 hp kohler engine on my chipper and it just doesnt like starting once its going its fine but on start up it seems to flood the plugs misfires a bit then runs normally just wondered if any one else has had the same problems thanks

Are the valves within their spec? Can make starting difficult if they're not.

i know some one with an entec with similiar problems but it always starts eventually so nothing is done

thanks for the replys it used to start ok then after the christmas break it just got worse at starting, done the usual stuff plugs air filter fuel filter no difference

I was recently told to turn off the fuel when the machine is switched off. This, apparently, stops a fuel flood whilst in transport.

 

It should not be valves as they are hydraulic valves and should not need any adjustment, may be wrong, check your supplier.

The honda vtwin has an electronic fuel cut off solenoid. its a needle that covers the fuel line when switched off.

 

Blockage in carb ?

i have the kohler engine on my 25 entec and when you turn off the key it also switches off the fuel automatically

Universal Engine Power, in Dunmow, Essex. They fitted mine in 2008 and are a great company. good price too and was a better engine as it had an oil cooler etc:thumbup1:
