Weight of Ropes

Hello,

 

so just running a few things. What is the lightest climbing rope out there? i say 11mm gotta be lightest. i found Blaze 2.6kg for 30m, Tachyon 2.6kg for 30m.

 

i looked through a few but needs to need a good climbing line and the thinner the better or one that compacts down alot like tachyon. any pointers would be great.

Blaze packs down really well, but if you only want 30m then it doesn't really matter. Its only when your using 60+ meters of rope that light weight really becomes important IMO.

I have a feeling Velocity is lighter than Blaze, but not by a lot.

Velocity is 83 grams per metre, so a little bit lighter than Blaze.

 

I reckon I could easily pack 100m of it into a standard size silver bull rope bag.

The teufelberger tachyon seems to packdown smaller than the NE tachyon for some reason bro.

sweet as cheers guys, i think velocity is heavier. but anyway was just wondering if there was some sercet rope out there thats light as, but i probs go with Blaze or tachyon. Rupe nar its also the Size dm of the rope too, wanna pack it into a very small bag. cheers tho

well 30m of any of the above mentioned will fit into a small bag.
