hardwood thinnings firewood sized pricing Essex

Recommended Posts

Hi

Just wondered what the rough ball park going rate for processor sized mixed hardwoods was down in Essex, I am aware of some nice beech that went through a harvester recently making £45/t at rideside, so what would mixed hardwoods be roughly at rideside. Bareing in mind it wants shifting not sitting there for 10months waiting for top dollar

Any input from the local guys would be most appreciated, im not sure of exact volumes yet but there would be at least 40tons, or if anyone is aware of local firewood guys who may be interested drop us a PM

cheers

We sold at 55/ton rideside, mixed hardwoods in 8foots. If you take in the costing of manual felling, harvester, forwarder etc I cant see how it can be much cheaper.

Andy i dont doubt what you are saying, but how can it be that i can buy processor size mixed hardwood for £30+vat per tonne roadside within an hour and half away from home, and you are about an hour away from me and your price is nearly double that? i'm not having a dig i'm just curious.Egg
