I used to have one of those exact saws - the 9010. It is the tank of the saw world - unbelievably strong and likewise, mega heavy. The 28" with solid nose is a let down - it drains the power big time; must have sprocket nose. But boy, it is very heavy - ignore any data that suggests otherwise!

That's quite tempting. I've bee nconsiderign the Makita for a while as there's times I could do with a bigger saw than the 372 for longer than is good to borrow one and most of the time I'd be usign it, it would be for felling (with the delimbing being done with a smaller saw), so the weight wouldn't be too much of an issue.

I've got one. It is a cracking saw. Yes a tad heavy but you soon get used to it. I'm running a 20" sproket nosed bar on mine most of the time and it does the job very well. Occasionally I'll use the 29" bar on it and still copes fine. Biggest downside I have with it is the chain tension can be a bit of a pest at times with it liking making the chain go slack.

can someone post a vid of it cutting some 20inch rings or sumit, i could do with a big saw, as i subby out to a few firewood companies a few times a year ringing up there huge log piles, i can currently only ring up anything my 346xp can manage without killing it.
