On site chainsaw assesment ?

Hi all just wondered if a person can take the chainsaw and climbing assesments on site without being enroled on a course? If so are there any members on here that can provide this service?

do you mean NPTC assessments? i think the site would have to be deemed suitable by the assessor and you would have to be registered to be assessed and pay the fees.

When i wanted to do a CS33 i was told if i had a tree to be assessed on phone them up and they would come to me. Obviously you pay all the NPTC regestration fees and thing.

 

When i did NPTC tractor and FMO 1.3 and 3.4-6 they came to my site and trained and assessed us all on our own kit. It was organised through a company though but we provided the kit and venue.

NPTC are coming to a site I have picked to be accesed on near Brighton £155 a day for a guy to come out and look and more if you want the training

my understanding was that you got a guy to come check you out and acces you make sure your good and everthing then you get your ticket, im waiting for someone from NPTC to get back to with more information on it, they said to me its the same as C&G and when I did my Electrical tickets the guy came to my house and I did all my practical exams in my garage and he just sat there drinking tea watching and 2 weeks later I had my certifactes in the post

I take it you get an assessor, NPTC registration and the cert of competence test carried out. Also a centre handling fee to process and coordinate everything.
