tractor insurance for a Q plate

got a leyland 262 on a Q plate, NFU or no F**king use would not touch it because of the Q plate, what can i do to get insurance. cheers mark.

did you ring their national number or go in to the local office.

 

i have had problems with them on stuff at the head office/national number but when ive gone and seen the local lads theyve always sorted me out.

 

the fact its a q plate should make no difference to insurance i dont believe.

 

just out of interest what is the reason its on a q plate.

 

its quite common for old tractors to be on them due to having lost logbooks/identity from being on farms etc from new then cant find the details.

try your local office had no problems with my carraro 7700 on Q plate and 6610 with no number plate just serial no

Your local N.F.U secretary's wage is dependant on the amount of insurance they sell.They are more interested in your renewal dates than any problems you may have with DEFRA - Of course they will insure you
