Yes.... do you think that is the problem?

 

difficult to say without looking mate, under no load does the ram operate at the same speed??? im not familier with the machine but can you take the pins out of the ram & check the plates/splitter moves freely?? any binding will make the ram appear 'weak', this may get worse as it gets hotter, hyd oil gets thinner, damaged binding metal getting hotter will cause it to expand slightly,

id check the simple bits first mate, let us know
