Chemicals are not the answer, deer management is the key! Every female will give birth every year and Muntjac every 7 months! If you do not manage them the population will explode and obviously deer eat, the more deer the greater the damage!

Just make sure you have a big freezer :thumbup1:

Deer man, seen in your previous threads that you have mentioned on Muntjac... I have a question, does Muntjac make for good eating? Living In northwest Scotland CWD and Muntjac are not something i know much about. Regards

Muntjac is the best venison. SWMBO and I had a leg of it on Boxing Day :001_smile:

I eat a lot of roe and red up here. I would like to try Muntjac one day. Anyone tried CWD?

 

Its goood. Not as nice as munty or roe.

 

 

Hows things up north BF? Done much stalking recently?

Muntjac is my favourite venison, it's excellent! Not tried CWD S it's the only deer I haven't shot.

Now then Sam, things are good. Had 4 Roe this last 2 weeks. Bloody fencing contractors left the gates open into one of my large fraser plantations and they found thier way in... Needless to say the freezer is looking healthy!

Never shot Muntjac or CWD. I might have to venture south of the border soon to make it happen! Dam windy up here today!
