If you buy an Ali ring to ring friction saver keep an eye on it rubbing together and causing nasty burrs.

 

also try not to drop on to concrete or any hard surfaces when retrieving from ground as can cause a lot of damage

The damage may not be visible too. Hairline cracks are probably most common!

Personally i'd go for this if i didn't have a rope guide.

about the same price as most savers and you can adjust it to your prefered size.

 

In my view, the MultiSaver has a big problem: The size of the rings (smaller than conventional cambium saver rings) means that you cannot take down from the ground if you are climbing on 12+ mm rope. A spliced eye simply won't pass through the large ring. Or?

If that is the case ( I don't know as I haven't used one), you could always buy the rings and splice your self one:001_tt2:

Didn't realise that as not using 13mm anymore :blushing:
