I have only been climbing a few months (on standard prusik)

But i was thinking could you climb on 2 petzl pantins a left and right?

basically climbing the rope in steps standing up whilst still ascending with the prusik.

Sorry if its a dumb question but any info appreciated:001_smile:

You wouldn't want them on your feet, You have to stand up to advance the rope. You can adapt one and use it under your hitch and above the other pantin.

Wouldn't work to well with a prussik unless you have a micro pulley under it to advance it. Be nicer with a VT or Lockjack.

Gerry Beranek did a video. I'll see if I can find it.

I use a right pantin for long straight ascents. Leaves with you energy left after the climb. As you use your stronger leg muscles you climb a bit faster. Works fine with a vt or any other hitchclimber system. Works with prussic and blakes too but you have to advance the hitch yourself.
