Quite agree, 12f/lb kills rabbits and such out to 40m with headshots. Practice practice practice.

I dont do much airgun work nowadays (prefer a .22lr) but when I did a bit then Weirach (spelling) were very highly rated.

Its all good fun

I meant to say in secondary brackets (humanely dispatching wounded roadside deer.) I don't actually use it to stalk deer as it is massively illegal. Its sounds like a massive overkill using 22-250 for finishing deer off as a 22 would do the job suitably but i have been asked by the local firearms officer to use it rather than a 22. Don't ask me why.

You can use it in scotland for Roe.

If you have to dispatch a wounded animal you can use any means necessary.

Im after a 4 or 8 for the foreshore. Used to have a beautiful E M Reilly 4 bore with a 44-inch barrel. It only ever killed geese, but it was some gun. I sold it a couple of years back as it wasn't getting the service out of it, a month later and I missed it. Everytime I have been out with the Supernova (my fowling piece) Old Rosie (all my guns have names ;)) is missed.

Im a plastic stock man with all but game shooting shotguns, but those old fowling pieces are something else.
