rigging hub

Heres a setup using the hub for balancing branches. can use either 2 or 4 legs to attach branch with depending on size. the vts enable you to tension the legs from below the hub-sometimes it can be too high for the climber too reach once the rigging line is tensioned. It looka a bit complicated but works really well once youve sussed it. We are going to get bags to contain the unused rope to lessen the clutter.(the velocity is just a tag line) any other pics of the hub in use?

Cool.

So when the climber has attached the red rope to the piece being cut, and then the tension is applied, he can then pull on the loop below the crab in your pic (the red rope that goes to the vts) to adjust the bits going to the 2 attachment points on the branch?

thats a donaghys nrg rope. Id probably get a static dyneema rope as it would be lighter(this setup ways a bit as there is 30m of rope on the hub) and will have less stretch. Shock loading shouldnt be an issue as your tensioned below your anchor so no dropping weights into the system. Ive used 30mtrs of rope but one side is 10m and the other 20m-this means i can choose which one and not have tonnes of dangling ropes in front of me. im interester to know how it loads the splice/carabiner that goes through the centre hole-you can always just use a stopper knot but the carabiner doers make it easier to undo after a load has gone on it.
