bonfires

if the fire is that big then it will be worth your while to have several starting points, one every couple of yards to ensure an equal rate of burning and avoid collapse in the wrong direction. worth using paper and kindling and lay as well as you would your own fire at home, when all laid go around with your matches/lighter. start on the leeward side to avoid being smoked out!

ask Frosty if I'm any good at bonfires...:001_tt2:

lets just say ive just got back in after using 4 tyres and a shed load of diesel.

the elms wood is covered in ivy and the bonfire is thesize of a massive local display bonfire maybe even bigger. so no ammount of straw and firelighters will do unless i had a artic load.

GOT TO GET THE HEAT THERE GUYS

...And just to think, 3 old boys from the local lions club (and a whippet) manage to light the massive local display bonfire on time every year (and thats made of damp old pallets, some rotten chipboard kitchen units and half the village's tree prunings) :sneaky2:
