Salamander 13mm Rope

Any thoughts on this rope, any body tryed it?

Tried it, hate it.

 

Minus points, its as bouncy as bungee cord, its got a funny coating that makes it really shiny and slippery, its too thick and heavy, and the massive stitched eyes are totally impractical.

 

Plus points, its dirt cheap.

i know the price is cheap, i use xtc, and think its great rope but thought i'd try someting different. Dont want anything stupidly bouncy though.

I prefer arbor master, it doesn't milk

Manufacturer states lifespan of 6 months for this rope...how comes its so cheap....Dont waste your money as it wears real quick and there are so many better products to choose from IMO!

I got one, haven't really used it. Got given it so it's a spare. I must try it out!

Just had a look on the web site, What is the difference between "gecko" and Salamander?.

 

The specs all look the same and with an elongation of 3.3% it doesn't seam over elastic.

 

Arbormaster quote between 2.5% and 5.7% elongation so you would think Salamander would be less "bungee" than Arbor Master?

Ive got the gecko also. Thought it was a good rope when i got it, then i bought the xtc and now dont use the gecko.
