81 cc i believe. i bought it from a bloke in st andrews he bought 250 of them at an army auction and has gradually been selling them off theyre was a mixture of 181&281 huskys

 

Cool, more cc than i thought. Only reason i asked is that i dont use a decompressor on any saws i own and use.

You could be in for some trouble my friend.

 

Normally there is a channel that is cert thin, 1-1,5mm that lead thru side to a chamber were valve is placed. This is for several reasons like heat, carbon to name a few.

Not sure how hard you run the saw, but if it is hot the plug in combustion chamber can melt. Been there done that...

 

Be careful now and pay attention to what is going on or it can get ugly.

but don't stihl put their decomp valves for example on the 026, in the top of the cylinder? Im fairly sure mine is

i am very confident it wont cause any problems as it would melt the electrode of the spark plug rather than the flush fitting valve also the barrel is made of aluminium which conducts heat very well i wont worry about this at all are you sure that yuor problems werent caused by it running too lean if it does cause any problems i can machine a plug to fit into it hey presto back to normal:thumbup:
