What are you using for a tool strop

That's one thing I can't do but would love to how long did it take . I can splice 3 ply and I've had a bash a the old multiple plait but not these newer ropes

I did one eye last night and the other this morning but in total time probably one hour but it is pretty old rope so it was a little more difficult than with a new shiny rope.

lots of people using the shortening ring on their strops, i find a carabina on the end makes the strop that bit longer when stretching and that bit shorter when on the harness much more comfortable, and easier to clip into my one way krab on my harness

Yes, I used a wire fid.

Failing that a bungee strop.

i just use a webbing tool strop, work fine

 

worked with a guy who uses this tho
