laar lar lar lar larch bits, sweepings up from the splitta machine, offcuts of sitka and scots from the firewood machines, all the bits we dont sell, me and the kids bag up, 3 bags a night of bits - keeps us toasty and warm - hot hot hot - then last thing at night a big beech log and keeps in til morning - loveley

My log burner has never expressed a favourite log, its happy to eat anything:thumbup1: seems to enjoy allot of seasoning and also the odd nappie though:thumbup:

This year mainly Birch also some Pop and Oak. Compared to other years this year I am organised and have hardly used any oil so far and am feeling very happy in the knowledge that I am not paying through the nose to keep warm.

I'm burning off all the crap wood at the moment - saving the good stuff in case it gets really cold. Got plenty of good hardwood (mainly ash & blackthorn) put by in my personal log stores- including a stack of 10 year old oak logs which I never seem to have the heart to burn.
