Interesting post Andy, thanks for flicking it up.

 

Fungal Record data base has 149 records of it over a very wide range of sites across the Uk from the Channel Islands, Cornwall, Essex, Ireland, Scotland etc......but there doesn't appear to be any from Wales as the news item suggests.

 

Suprised about that as it's not particularly found far away. :confused1:

 

Personally I've never come across it, but have seen one of the the other Clathrus species (archeri), though that was in Spain.

 

I think someone else from the site has seen it & posted it up before.
