Precisely - UK boats not allowed to fish within 12 mile limit.

 

 

 

Except that they are rapidly changing to Pollock! Notice how pollock was dirt cheap at first but now the price is inching up as Jo Public hasn't spotted it in his supermarket breaded fish!

 

Below is a pic of the beamer I was on and the skipper, Roger. He died recently; he was the most fantastic man.

 

Under 10m boats can fish 2' from the shore if they like, wasn't Roger the skipper filmed for a TV series back in the 80's?

Why don't they use nets half as big? Or fish for half the time and keep all their fish?

1992 to be precise - indeed he was! I wondered if anyone on here might know about him etc but didn't bother mentioning. Hell of a sad he's turned over.
