anyone know what this tree is

its a big un

local farmer told me it came down in the wind,took the wires down with it

he said i can have the wood,but dont want to spend hours cutting it up if its crap as fire wood

i know most trees,ash,oak,beech etc

cant seem to find this one,in a tree id book

Looks like a sycamore to me. Firewood is alright, far from the best but it splits like an absolute dream. If I were you and had a quiet day I would snap it up.
