Your making excuses for a bad machine Rob, send it back

 

Mine would cut straight through knots, burls or nails

 

I know. It was my dads idea to strengthen it. Will ask him if he thought to send it back first. Which he should have done. It was in Oxfordshire which is a trek to take back. If it bends again I'll make sure it goes back!

You say it's a trek to take it back. I would be getting the company to come and pick it up, there machine failed they can pay the cost of coming to collect it and delivering a new one.
